Free Energy Savings Advice

Saffron Walden Community Energy is one of a number of community energy groups in Essex to have received funding to provide free energy advice in Saffron Walden and area.

If you are concerned about your energy bills, would like to discuss how you could save energy and money or would like to reduce your reliance on fossil fuels and carbon footprint then please get in touch.

We will be holding drop-in clinics throughout the year, or appointments can be made for individual discussions, either face to face, via Zoom or phone call. We can also give a short presentation about basic energy saving measures to groups.

Our next drop-in session will be on the 4th June at the Thaxted Jubilee Fayre.

To find out more or arrange an individual discussion, please contact us via the email at energyadvice@swce.co.uk, or use our contact form or leave a message on the phone number 01799 252501.

There are a number of energy savings topics which we can look at, such as:

  • Simple DIY measures you can take to save energy
  • Understanding your energy bills
  • Adjusting your heating system for better use
  • What grants, funding and other support is available

This work is part of the Power Partners project, funded by UK Power Networks and administered by The Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE). The CSE website offers a wide range of information that could be useful to you, but it can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming, so please get in touch if you would prefer to talk to someone.
